Nice, France – September 2019

Plogging, a simple and positive way to contribute to a cleaner future. Born in Sweden, this experience – open to all – combines waste collection ( pick up) and jogging.

It evolved into a new shape in Nice, France on the initiative of everyday.earth. To become aware of our impact on this beautiful planet. The concept may seem surprising, and yet it pleases. It is nice, very nice.

The goal

The concept of Nice Plogging is based on three principles:

  1. Empower people to join a simple and positive way to raise awareness and influence everyone to take better care of our environment.
  2. Offer a proven team building event to any citizen, association, local government or company to take action on SDG’s.
  3. Become aware of the pollution in your local environment by picking up litter from the streets, parks, beaches, seas and forests.

“Since the introduction of Nice Plogging by everyday.earth we have hosted over 50 sessions in the centre of Nice. We also organized two Cleanup Festivals and two World Cleanup Days based on these three principles. We have touched more than a thousand people during these events in person. And reached out to 250.000 people online with our message. It proves we are in a transition towards a cleaner future” – Wim Kiezenberg, founder everyday.earth

Nice Plogging is accessible to all ages and fitness levels. It is all about taking care of ourselves, the planet and all life on it. While having a good time, getting to know like-minded people. Something we can do every day.
